About us:

We are a small, registered charity, originally established in 2020 to respond to both individual and community needs in Castle Cary and Ansford arising from the Covid pandemic.  

 

Our aim:

Our aim is to support our community in whatever way we are able in order to alleviate poverty, hardship and distress.

 

What we do:

We provide help and support to individuals and groups in and around Castle Cary and Ansford, Somerset and currently offer the following services:
 

• Financial grants to local organisations

• An Emergency Support 'Food and Essentials' service

• A Community Food Bank and Larder situated at the Millbrook Hub in Castle Cary

• A Signposting and listening service for those in need of advice or a friendly chat

The charity is coordinated entirely by our board of trustees and our amazing team of around 25 volunteers.  To cover our running costs and maintain our grant programme, we rely on the generosity of local individuals and organisations.
